About Big Blue Whale
When Vanessa and Jim Wodehouse first had the idea of opening Big Blue Whale, they aimed to make a toy shop that appealed to both kids and parents by mixing nostalgic favorites with modern children’s toys. The specialty shop opened in 2014, and families quickly fell in love. Five years later, the beloved Kingwood shop became available.
The Wodehouses knew right away they needed to buy the shop and preserve all the magic that had made the community fall in love with the original place. While On the Park focuses on candy and retro products, Big Blue Whale continues to sell the perfect blend of new and vintage-inspired toys. The shop has become so popular the Houston Chronicle has named it the “Best Toy Store” in Houston.
