Atkinson Farms is a community market that has been in operation since 1991. Owned and operated by Mike Atkinson and his wife, Theresa, this family farm has moved through generations in Harris County. Today, the farm includes over 100 acres of vegetables, 19 tractors, and over 100 pieces of farm equipment.
Throughout the year, families can pick fresh strawberries, fresh, locally-grown seasonal produce, and much more at this Texas farm. When the season is right, families can have fun at the farm picking their own berries and dining on the other produce grown at the farm. Strawberries are typically in season from December through May.
Froberg’s Farm

Froberg’s Farm is open year-round, offering homegrown fruits and vegetables and other fresh fruits and vegetables from other regions. At the Country Store, families can find fresh produce of all kinds!
Families often take part in strawberry picking at Froberg’s Farm, which typically begins in January and lasts through May. Families purchase a Froberg Bucket at the farm to use and collect all the strawberries they want! After picking berries to their heart’s content, families bring their buckets to be weighed to purchase the strawberries to take home.
This farm also offers festivals throughout the season, including Emohi Cannon, Friendly Fire, Duck Races, Bee Coaster, Mining Sluice, Paint Ball, and Berry Fun Land, a special playground built for all kids who want to play at the farm.
Families can also enjoy a sweet treat or snack from the farm’s Bakery and Snack Bar, where they can dine on everything from pecan brittle, preserves, fried pies, jellies, nuts and candies, and much more.

Blessington Farms in Texas has many exciting activities for the whole family, including berry picking! Activities include camel feedings, bird feedings, flower picking, gem mining, hay rides, rope mazes, rat race, steer roping, sand mountain, barrel train rides, pony hops, pedal cars, fossil digging, jump pad, trolley swing, and a petting zoo that includes chickens, camels, sheep, goats, and more!
Different berries grow during different seasons at Blessington Farms. The farm offers U-pick blueberry and blackberry picking in the spring, a popular attraction for local families. Flower picking is also available during the spring. The farm no longer offers strawberries, but the blueberries and blackberries are just as delicious! Families can also buy fresh produce, farm-fresh eggs from Nonnie’s Chickens, homemade pickles, and local honey. Berry picking typically begins in April and lasts through May.
