As the parent of a toddler, it can be so easy to fall into a rut. Routines are life savers, and breaking out of your comfort zone quickly becomes tough. This can also make parenthood a bit monotonous at times. This is why I love getting to step out and explore our city. Seeing something through your toddler’s eyes is a pretty magical experience. If you’re getting tired of the same things over and over, I would love to tell you about some of my favorite things to do in Houston with toddlers

3 Things To Do In Houston With Toddlers That The Whole Family Will Love

Tot*Spot Children’s Museum of Houston

Sometimes, children’s museums can be a bit overwhelming for little kiddos. Children’s Museum of Houston understands this stress, so they created Tot*Spot. This incredible space was designed specifically for little ones from 0-2. The center offers sensory exploration, experimentation, discovery, imaginative play, and more.

Through creating an engaging spot, the center aids your child’s brain development. Your toddler will love the bright colors and unique activities, and you’ll adore watching them learn. The museum offers additional resources to continue your toddler’s learning at home. After you check out Tot*Spot, you can follow the Toddler Trail throughout the rest of the museum, which lets you create a customized experience for your little one.

Houston Zoo

The Houston Zoo is the ideal spot for animal lovers of all ages. The zoo has over 6,000 animals from more than 600 species. Their children’s zoo allows your family a firsthand look at the animals. You can meet bald eagles, Nubian goats, and Houston toads. Your child can watch river otters play in an underwater habitat, explore a lifelike bat cave, or get to meet some creepy crawly critters inside the Bug House.

While the children’s zoo remains a family favorite, the rest of the zoo is equally as impressive. The zoo is perfect for the entire family, with endless animals, a Wildlife Carousel, face painting, and gorgeous sights.

7 Acre Wood

7 Acre Wood is a family fun park with unlimited things to do. The petting zoo tends to be a favorite amongst smaller kids. Here, you can get up close and personal with friendly farm animals such as goats, cows, ponies, ducks, and more! The farm also has a Western play town for your young one to explore.

The mini-golf course is fabulous for kids of all ages, while the playground lets your little one run out some energy. If, at any point, your child feels overwhelmed, you can check out the gigantic sandbox. This destination is the perfect option for sensory play. This farm gives your family plenty of options for a fun-filled day.
